Student & Staff Well-Being
Upper Arlington Schools believes that well-being for both students and staff is the cornerstone for producing a safe learning environment where Upper Arlington students can thrive. Students and staff must be well to be able to learn or teach to their fullest potential — and that is why well-being is critical to the academic success of our students.
Student and staff well-being is one of the priority areas identified in the district’s 2019-2024 Strategic Plan, and it has never been more important than it is right now.
As the mental and physical needs of our students continue to grow, Upper Arlington Schools is uniquely equipped to offer support thanks to a continuum of services available to students and families.
-
Our students have access to physical and mental health services within their buildings throughout the school day through our school health offices and school counselors.
-
Partnerships with Syntero and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Behavioral Health Services and Office of Student Life further expand access to mental and behavioral health services for students and families during and outside of the school day.

Staff well-being
Upper Arlington Schools believes that, in order for our students to succeed and be well in our schools, we must also be meeting the well-being needs of our staff. Our employee assistance program through Matrix offers many resources for our staff members, including mental health and financial health services.
